Carta a Magón, Rivera y Rey de Harry Weinberger. Tengo fundadas esperanzas en que algo se hará antes de Navidad.

Sent to Magón, Rivera and Rey

I again took your case up in Washington yesterday and tried to see the President and his Secretary but only could see one of the junior secretaries, but I am expecting an appointment again some day in the latter part of this week or the early part of next. I am in strong hopes that before Christmas something will actually be done and I think that is the intention of the President at this time. I believe that a good many of the IWWs, however, will remain in jail, especially those who they claim they have evidente against for advocacy of destruction of property, etc., etc.

I hope to be able to definitely have a decision before I start for Texas and Mexico, sometime around the 15th of this month.

P.S. If there are any friends of yours that I could call on in Mexico, I would be glad to have you send me their names. I expect to [be] able to see President Obregón and shall talk to him about you.

Ayer presenté de nuevo su caso en Washington e intenté ver al presidente y a su secretario, pero sólo me fue posible ver a uno de los secretarios adjuntos; sin embargo, estoy esperando una nueva cita para fines de esta semana o principios de la próxima. Tengo fundadas esperanzas en que algo se hará antes de Navidad, y pienso que, en este momento, el presidente tiene esas intenciones. Creo, no obstante, que una buena parte de los IWWs (1) permanecerán en la cárcel, sobre todo aquellos contra quienes ellos dicen tener evidencias de cosas tales como incitación a la destrucción de propiedades, etcétera, etcétera.

Espero conseguir una decisión definitiva antes de mi salida a Texas y México, alrededor del 15 de este mes.
